Most "storage VPS" is slow spinning disk.
SATA HDDs at 100–150 MB/s, refurbished drives, limited I/O and no redundancy. Six things make HostCloud Storage VPS genuinely fast.
NVMe SSD storage
3,000–5,000 MB/s reads 30–50x faster than HDD. Instant file access that handles concurrent operations without stalling.
Large capacity
Up to 1.4 TB per VPS with multiple mounting options, flexible partitioning and easy expansion as you grow.
Full root access
The same full-VPS features you expect: root access, your choice of Linux distribution and complete control.
Flexible file systems
Choose ext4, XFS or Btrfs, set custom partitioning and multiple mount points, with RAID configuration available.
1 Gbps network
Fast file transfers with low-latency access and no bandwidth throttling built for moving large files.
Reliable & durable
High-endurance NVMe (strong TBW rating), daily backups available, 24/7 monitoring and a 99.9% uptime SLA.
"Cheap storage" usually means slow spinning disk
Lots of capacity is easy. Fast, reliable capacity is not. Here is what most budget storage VPS actually gives you.
SATA HDD storage
Spinning disks at 100–150 MB/s. Every file access waits on the drive head, and big transfers crawl.
Old, refurbished drives
Budget "storage VPS" often runs on ageing, recycled hardware higher failure risk and inconsistent speeds.
Limited I/O
Cheap storage cannot handle concurrent access. Multiple reads and writes at once bring the whole VPS to a crawl.
No redundancy
A single drive with no RAID and no backup story. When the disk fails, your archive fails with it.
- NVMe SSD 30–50x faster than HDD
- Up to 1.4 TB per VPS with easy expansion
- Handles concurrent operations without stalling
- RAID options and daily backups available

What Performance Actually Looks Like
We don't make performance claims we can't back up. Here is what our infrastructure delivers in real-world testing — measured, tracked, and verifiable.
Pages That Load Before Visitors Lose Patience
Our average shared-hosting page load is 1.8–2.2 seconds measured with real, content-heavy websites, not empty test pages designed to look good in benchmarks.
The shared-hosting industry averages 4–6 seconds. Google has made page speed a ranking factor, mobile users abandon sites that take longer than 3 seconds, and every additional second of latency costs roughly 7% in conversions. Speed is not a vanity metric it is revenue.
1.8–2.2s average load 2–3× faster than typical shared hosting.

99.9% Uptime Tracked in Public, Not Just Promised
We hit 99.9% uptime in 2025. In plain terms, your site was unreachable for less than 43 minutes across the entire year.
This is a service-level commitment, not a marketing line. We run redundant infrastructure, we publish our uptime so you can verify it yourself, and when we fall below our SLA we credit your account automatically. You should never have to chase the guarantee you were promised.
Under 43 minutes of downtime, all year the difference between a commitment and a slogan.

Support That Answers in Minutes, Migrations Done in Hours
Average first response to critical tickets is under 15 minutes, and common issues are resolved in under 2 hours not the 24–48 hours you have come to expect from budget hosts.
Switching providers? We migrate most websites in under 4 hours, and many complete in under 60 minutes. You submit a request, we handle the transfer of files, databases, and email, you verify, and you are live with real India-based engineers on the line the whole way.
Under 15 minutes to reach a human. Under 4 hours to a full, verified migration.

How we measure: figures above come from real-world testing on content-heavy WordPress and e-commerce sites running on HostCloud's NVMe + LiteSpeed infrastructure, compared against typical shared hosting — not synthetic lab pages. Load times vary with site build, plan and traffic, so your results may differ.

Got Questions? We Have Answers.
Why not use object storage like S3?
Object storage is great for specific use cases. Storage VPS gives you full control, lower latency and predictable pricing ideal when you need traditional file storage with a file system you manage.
Can I use this for hosting websites?
You can, but our standard VPS plans are better optimized for web hosting. Storage VPS is designed for storage-heavy workloads like backups, file servers and media.
Is the storage redundant?
Basic plans are single-drive. We offer RAID options for additional redundancy, and we always recommend keeping a copy of critical data elsewhere too.
Can I expand storage later?
Yes. Storage upgrades are instant and your existing data stays intact we expand the partition and file system automatically.
What file systems are supported?
ext4 by default, XFS for large files, and Btrfs for advanced features. You can choose during setup or change it later.
Can I use this for database storage?
Yes NVMe storage is excellent for databases. That said, our standard VPS plans include optimized database configurations if that is your primary workload.
